Obama administration is the first in American history to release the White House visitor logs. But….

• The Visitor Log did Spark the confusion since some people with famous names were listed on the visitor logs

Though the administration touted the release as evidence of “transparency like you’ve never seen before,” the list did spark confusion, as some people with famous names were listed on the visitor logs.

Monitoring vs Documenting your project

The major difference is “Monitoring vs Documenting”.  Approaches rise from your purposes.

The monitoring means you can see what’s going on at jobsite while you are somewhere remotely.  Most are construction safety issues or environmental disputes.  I’d rather say call 911 at first place then call your jobsite manager to take care the rest. It’s more “emergency” . And It’s really not necessarily demanding the “Enemy of the States” movie like Monitoring.

In contrast, Documenting is more planned and more strategic for any daily jobsite management. It’s more a firewall preventing something unexpected against  project contractor performance, warranty claims, insurance issues and contract disputes.

99% are not requiring a real time monitoring( 30 photos per second) and hiring a dedicated 24 hr on duty engineer sitting in front the the DVR monitors. All you need is a DAILY project reviewing and thin files management and storage.
